Critical Compliance Requirement

REMOVAL OF PHI IS MANDATORY.

The inclusion of Protected Health Information (PHI) in any upload is a material breach of these Terms. VCI reserves the right to report violations to institutional compliance officers and international regulatory bodies.

1. Clinical Disclaimer

THE PLATFORM IS AN EDUCATIONAL RESOURCE ONLY. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Clinical decisions must always be made based on primary imaging data from official hospital systems and the treating physician's professional judgment. VCI assumes no liability for clinical errors resulting from the use of educational materials hosted on the Platform.

2. Strict Prohibition of PHI

By contributing content to the Platform, you represent, warrant, and covenant that:

No Patient Identifiers: You have absolutely ensured that all PHI has been removed in accordance with the HIPAA "Safe Harbor" method or equivalent international standards. This includes metadata, filenames, and burned-in text.
Institutional Compliance: You have obtained all necessary institutional approvals (e.g., IRB, Ethics Committee) required by your place of practice for the secondary use of de-identified images.
Personal Responsibility: You acknowledge that VCI is a conduit for peer-generated education and that you are solely legally liable for the privacy status of any content you upload.

3. License and IP

You retain copyright to your original contributions. However, by uploading content, you grant VCI a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to host, display, and distribute the content for medical educational and research purposes.

4. Prohibited Conduct

Users are strictly prohibited from:

Attempting to re-identify any patient data.
Using automated systems (bots, scrapers) to harvest data from the Platform.
Sharing account credentials or impersonating other medical professionals.

5. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VCI AND ITS CONTRIBUTORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE PLATFORM.

6. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Jurisdiction in which the Platform's primary infrastructure is headquartered, without regard to conflict of law principles.
